Taking on The Juicemaster’s challenge!

Last week, my lovely friend Paul Fuggle from Total Business Cart went to an event run by Karen Knowler, The Raw Food Coach and cornered the lovely Jason Vale – aka The Juicemaster.

Now, I discovered The Juicemaster via someone’s blog while I was living in Australia. I promptly ordered his books and have amused myself with his great writing style – brilliant in putting you in the right ‘mindset’ to get healthy – and did as he advised and started to lose weight and look and feel great – I even got to the stage where I had nothing to wear as it was all too baggy!

Anyway, I have fallen off the healthy wagon big styleee since coming back to the UK and am a pork princess once more.

When I heard Paul was off to Karen’s event I begged him to get me a signed copy of Jason’s 7lbs in 7 Days super juice diet book. And the lovely Paul did just that, with a very special message inspired by a giggle Paul and I had about melons and other double entendres before he went. And yes, I will definitely be at the next event in person! *grin*

Well, I’ve spent the weekend reading it – it’s not very long and has reminded me why it’s a good move for my short AND long term health to eat more raw foods as well as the ‘carrot’ of losing the lard.

I’m only 36 (a permanent 23 in my head) and want to LIVE more and enjoy my life more! For me, this means having the confidence to try ANYTHING. And to have more confidence I want to feel more confident. Part of that, is to look fantastic. Unfortunately, the person I see in photo’s is not the person I am – I seem to have lost some of my va va voom, drowning her out in chocolate and sugary stodge.

Well, as the song goes, enough is enough, is enough.

I woke up this morning, drank my lime and water and weighed myself – I am…

a whopping (I had to delete this). My perfect weight would be 56 kilos / 8st 8lb /123 lb. Now, I did drop to about 9 stone after having my first child (and looking like Hagrid by the end of my pregnancy) and would be extremely happy to get there again. I’m only 156cm tall and it’s not healthy to be shaped like an apple (or doughnut for that matter).

Besides, I want to feel gorgeous again and be able to go dancing all night and look fab in whatever outfit I desire to try on!

When I was about 19, I weighed about 8stone 8lbs and was a 34″ 24″ 34″ shape… What happened? When did I decide not to like/look after myself?

Well, I’ve caught myself now and am taking action. I’ve been down the grocers and bought my veggies and made my first, delicious!, juice which has left me feeling so full I’m going to wait for my lunch time one and skip the mid-morning one.

I’ll let you know how it all goes…

    Hi Sarah

The Juicemaster! Sitting in an Airport VIP lounge recently, about to go on our honeymoon, hence enjoying lots and lots of free Gin & tonics, beer, crisps, you name it; we got into conversation with a lovely bunch of people who it turned out were the coaches and ‘leaders’ going to a Jason Vale Detox week! It would be more of a story if I could tell you that on the business class flight they necked as much alcohol and coffee as they could get down, to see them right for the week (or is that just my thinking?!) but no, they were all perfectly moderate and drank nothing but tomato juice and water….! I, on the other hand, can’t remember exactly how much or of what I drank!
Best of luck with the detox!
