Going Raw – Ready Or Not

Welcome back!

Well on Sunday I thought about and wrote down some things I want to happen in my life. This is a big thing for me as I’ve been good at talking a LOT about doing this but action has not happened… until now!

The shift occurred for me during a goal/plan exercise my big sister took me through on Sunday – you can read read about it on my other blog http://www.TheVirtualHammock.com/blog

So what was it I wrote that has changed my life radically this week? Well something simple – that I would:

  • go to bed by 11pm
  • write in my moleskine given to me by my friend Gary (see, I spelled it right!), everything that I was grateful for that day
  • read some of my book
  • wake at 5.45am (ooh I have been and I thought I’d actually written 6am so that explains things!)
  • meditate on waking
  • write goals/actions for the day

I have TALKED about doing some or all of these things for MONTHS now but the act of writing them down has really shifted something – that together with the fact I now have a goal too…

And the results I’ve had?

  • Well I finally made a decision about my home – to rent out my property and rent something near my sisters. I have been stalling on taking action on this for over a year now. But I have a tenant lined up for late November and have the excitement of trying to find somewhere now… lol
  • I’ve found a car – a lovely classic mini – negotiated on the price which will hopefully be accepted, so the kids won’t have to grumble about getting on the bus in the rain any more
  • And the biggy for me…. I started eating raw again.

On Monday, even though I didn’t have much in the way of fresh fruit or veg I just thought sod it. Just fricking do it girl. Do I want a clear mind, clear skin, loads of energy and to be at my ideal weight? YES!!!

So I ate what I had available – apples, bananas during the day, drank loads of water and in the evening had a plate full of gorgeous red vine tomatoes, peppers (capsicums) and cucumber and followed by new bed time routine. I slept soundly and woke up at.. yep … 5.45am lol

And I’ve been doing the same since then. Made it to the local greengrocer and stocked up on more veggies to make some delicious green juice – pondwater the kids call it *lol* and have been drinking LOADS of filtered water. Piddling for England I am at the moment.

I weighed myself on Monday morning and am gonna be brave and record it here *gulp* 10 stone exactly. Ideally I’d like to be 8st 10lbs so I’ll keep you updated on what is happening there. I’ll also measure myself and if I’m brave enough share that too – I feel embarrassed at who might read it though ahahhahah. Oh, sod it, while I’m at it I’ll get Nicola to take some photo’s of me too…
